The Broncos have had the luxury of being a young playoff team the past two years, and if things go right for them this year, it could happen again.

They have only 10 seniors, meaning the team is loaded with juniors and sophomores who have plenty of big-game experience.

Last season, senior QB Nathan Gribble was injured in the fifth game, and sophomore Johnny Gaines took over. Gaines played well through the stretch before being hurt against Wellington in the showdown for the district title.

Gaines returns along with running back Mike Crump, who rushed for 715 yards and nine TDs. Also returning are offensive line stalwarts Tre Brown and Dylan Wright.

Head coach Gary Jack, a former standout for the Broncos, said the goals are high entering the season, and if things go right, they could meet Wellington for the district title again and find themselves in the postseason for a third straight year.

Keys To Success: The Broncos played for the district title last season and reached the playoffs for the second year in a row. They have plenty of experience, and with eight returning starters on offense and seven on defense, they should reach the postseason again.
