Lile, Booker take down Vega

With the help of Hunter Lile’s five touchdown passes, Booker knocked off Vega, 39-15, on Friday night in high school football at Panhandle.

Lile completed 21 passes for 241 yards and five scores. Wide receivers Angel Ramirez and Brett Cox each caught two touchdowns from Lile while Damian De Santiago caught a fifth.

Dalhart kept scoring and never allowed a score in a 53-0 win against Friona on Friday night.

Guillermo Davila ran the ball 13 times for 107 yard and three touchdowns. Dominic Baca and Tone Gonzales each scored on a fumble return as part of a strong defensive effort.

Justin Ventura threw five touchdown passes and ran in another for 3-3 Perryton. Zach Farney caught the final two touchdown passes to help the Rangers pull away in the fourth quarter.

Ben Arbuckle threw three touchdown passes and Marcus Trevino returned an interception 85 yards for a TD as the Wildcats upended the Harvesters on the road.

Pampa grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on a 27-yard field goal by Alan Stovall before the Wildcats countered with a pair of TDs in the second quarter. Arbuckle tossed a 7-yarder scoring pass to Boston Hudson to put them on top and Trevino’s long interception return provided them with a 13-3 advantage.

Pampa closed the gap on Ryan Smith’s 65-yard TD run before halftime as the Harvesters pulled within 13-10 in the break.

Canadian went up 20-10 in the third quarter on a 16-yard pass from Arbuckle to Andrew Ezzell and added its final TD in the fourth period on Arbuckle’s 7-yard pass to Brock Hedgecoke..

Andrew Coomer’s 1-run run and Cody Clark’s two-point conversion run proved to be the difference as Wheeler outlasted host Claude in double-overtime.

Wheeler, which improved to 2-4, led 20-6 at halftime before Claude rallied with touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to make it 20-20 at the end of regulation.

Both teams scored in the first OT and again in the second. Claude quarterback Seth Skarke, who threw for 335 yards and five TDs failed to connect on the final attempt for a two-point conversion that would have tied it.

Claude had 526 yards total offense while all of Wheeler’s 361 total yards came in the rushing attack.

Korbin Irwin threw two touchdown passes and ran for another while Victor Serrano scored three TDs to lead the Greyhounds past Shamrock at home.

Irwin scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter they threw TD passes of 20 and 15 yards to Carson Williams and Beau Blankenship as the Greyhounds grabbed a 21-0 lead after one period.

Serrano’s 3-yard run in the second period gave the Greyhounds a commanding 27-0 halftime lead. He added scoring runs of 2 and 13 yards in the third quarter.

Shamrock got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a 7-yard pass from Tyler Whiteley to Mitesh Patel.

Gruver’s defense capitalized on two interceptions and a couple of fumble recoveries as it held the Irish to 148 yards total offense.
